On the 6th day of their hunger strike, campaigners from VoteNoHeathrow travelled all the way to Edinburgh to deliver a message to the SNP that their backing for Heathrow in return for a promise of jobs is a betrayal of their progressive and environmental credentials. The activists sprayed the windows of the SNP headquarters and threw ‘Hell bank notes” on the ground outside. With almost daily news of scientific surveys sounding the alarm on climate change, the VoteNoHeathrow group believe that Heathrow expansion is a wilful act that will hasten climate disaster.
