In Brighton Real Media met with grassroots organisations working with migrants and refugees, and this short film covers the work of Brighton Migrant Solidarity, an activist group (part of the No Borders network) who have set up a brilliant project called ‘A Thousand for a Thousand’.

The idea is to get a thousand local people to donate a pound or more a month, which is then used to house vulnerable people who would otherwise be homeless.

They currently have 3 people in accommodation, but are looking for more funding and more secure housing in the new year.
