Two members of new political party and non-violent direct action movement Burning Pink carried out a protest at the Department of Health this morning, tying together the the failures of government, the lack of funding and stealthy sell-off of the NHS, and the climate crisis. They threw pink paint at the front of the building in Victoria Street and then glued their hands to the window and waited for police to arrive while live-streaming speeches on their mobiles.

A specialist police team debonded them and they were both arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

Burning Pink have one policy as a political party, to bring down the government and replace it with a properly sortitioned Citizens Assembly to represent society and work together to resolve the problems facing humanity.
