Voices from the national peace march for Palestine

Real Media contributor Farah Jamaluddin interviewed a range of people taking part in the national march for Palestine on Saturday. Tens of thousands took part in a peaceful show of solidarity through the streets of London. The so-called ‘ceasefire’ in Gaza has been a sham. Israeli forces encroach further into the Gaza strip, bombing civilians every day – more than 500 have been murdered since the ‘ceasefire’ was announced, and several children were killed on Saturday morning alone. Meanwhile, death and destruction is wreaked with impunity by illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank, and Israel continues to regularly bomb its other neighbours. The names on Trump’s ‘Bored of Peace’ initiative are like a who’s who of war criminals and dictators, and here in the UK there are further plans to repress protest and control our citizens, but the message from the many people we interviewed on Saturday is one of continued solidarity and determination for justice for Palestine.
