On June 14th, the fourth anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire, three activists from Palestine Action sprayed blood red paint and smashed windows of the Midlands factory of Arconic.

Arconic supplied the cladding on Grenfell Tower, and although their executive Debbie French told the official inquiry that she knew the material was unsafe when she sold the cladding to customers, there have yet to be any prosecutions.

A whistleblowing former employee has come forward saying that the company is an important supplier of aircraft grade aluminium sheeting, which is sold to several major defence companies. The nose cones of F-15 fighter jets (which are used in the illegally occupied territories) are made from Arconic materials.

Palestine Action’s protest is likely to halt production at the factory for some time, and so disrupt the military machine which ultimately murders Palestinian people. The campaign has escalated and widened with several actions across the UK over the past week, often supported by crowds of local supporters.
