Subvertisers International are an umbrella group of activists who want to reclaim public space from the onslaught of commercial advertising.

From 22nd-25th March 2017 they have called a global protest which is being supported by various groups in many countries.

In the UK, London’s Special Patrol Group have been busy supporting the campaign and have been out subverting the capital’s underground trains and bus stops.

Real Media went out with them on the tubes as they placed 130 posters over carriage adverts, asking people to imagine what a city could be like without adverts.
