Haringey has chosen Lendlease, the infamous company involved in the Heygate estate development in Southwark which pushed poorer locals out of the area as the council paid for evictions and the company ignored provisions for social housing, as the preferred bidder for an incredible £2bn worth of council assets in one of the poorest boroughs in London.
