On 1st August, members of London Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) will be protesting outside Boeing Defence’s office on Victoria Street, London. The protest is in opposition to Boeing’s arms sales to Saudi Arabia and it’s involvement in the arms trade.

In May this year, Saudi Arabia agreed to buy Chinook helicopters, associated support services and guided weapons systems, and intends to purchase P-8 surveillance aircraft from Boeing.

As the world’s second largest arms company, Boeing contributes to much harm around the world and has no qualms about selling weapons to countries with dubious human rights records. It is particularly disturbing that they have profited from the bombing of Yemen by selling weapons to Saudi Arabia,’ said London CAAT member Phil McMahon.

The demonstration will take place from 5pm on Tuesday 1st August at 25 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0EXLondon CAAT say they there will be further demonstrations before and during the government organised Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) arms fair in East London in September.
